Duties
- Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products, ensuring accurate placement, and maintaining a clean, appealing store layout
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with professionalism
- Assist customers with product questions, provide product demos when applicable, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain proper merchandising standards by restocking displays and ensuring products are faced and priced correctly
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, reporting low stock items, and assisting with stock replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries via phone etiquette, and guiding them to products or services they need
- Support sales initiatives through active communication skills and promoting special offers or promotions
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and inventory management
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential for smooth transaction processing
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
