Town & Country Veterinary Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our doctors and technicians in providing exceptional care. Primary Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas with necessary supplies and equipment
- Clean and maintain hospital to ensure a safe, sanitary environment
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, walking, and monitoring patients
- Accurately record medical information in ClienTrax
- Triage phone calls from Clients
- Scheduling appointments and surgeries
- Telephone Communication skills handling multiple phonelines
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pet’s care and needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary assistant or animal care role preferred
- Strong animal-handling and multitasking skills
- Positive, team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a busy environment
- Experience with Heska lab equipment is a plus!
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range:$16.00-$18.00/hour, depending on experience

Hours of Operation & Scheduling
- Our clinic is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 7pm, Wednesdays from 8am to 4pm and Fridays 8am to 5pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
- The position typically includes 30-35 hours a week including morning and evening hours
