Role Description The Builder Escrow Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO, responsible for managing builder-related escrow files from opening through closing. Responsibilities include setting up new escrow accounts, reviewing purchase agreements and closing instructions, and coordinating with builders, buyers, lenders, and internal staff to ensure all required documents and funds are collected. The role involves preparing settlement statements, organizing and scheduling closings, managing disbursements, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Coordinator responds to inquiries, provides clear status updates, and supports a smooth closing experience through proactive communication and strong customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience with escrow processes and builder or real estate transactions; ability to manage escrow accounts and related documentation.
- Knowledge of closing procedures, settlement statements, and funding/disbursement activities in a title or real estate environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with builders, buyers, lenders, and internal teams.
- Notary commission or eligibility to become a Notary Public, with attention to compliance and proper document execution.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines.
- Proficiency with office software and title/escrow systems; prior experience in title insurance is preferred.
- Diploma or degree in a related field such as business, finance, or real estate is preferred but not required; relevant work experience considered.
