Job Overview
Individual will work with other team members in a fun and busy work environment while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks, towing trailers to deliver products to customers’ locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and organize materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Manage warehouse tasks including inventory movement, order picking, packing, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with team members.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by addressing questions professionally and ensuring a positive experience.
Skills
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
- Delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving, load securing, and adhering to traffic laws.
- Skilled in manual handling, moving heavy items safely, and applying safe lifting practices in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices for courier roles.
- Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, delivery tracking, and communication purposes effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions with clients.
