Town & Country Engineering, Inc. is a well-established consulting engineering firm that has been
providing municipal, water, and wastewater engineering services throughout Wisconsin for over 40
years. We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our growing team in
either our Madison or West Bend office.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of electrical
planning, design, and operational services for municipal water and wastewater projects. The ideal
candidate will be experienced, collaborative, and passionate about improving public infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems in compliance with applicable codes.
- Research and specify equipment based on project requirements and available technologies.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor budgets throughout all phases of design and construction.
- Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines, including HVAC, mechanical, structural, and process engineering teams, as well as vendors and contractors.
- Perform site visits and support construction-phase services in accordance with project agreements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power and/or SCADA system design and construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal team members.
- Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) or Designer of Engineering Systems license, or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Prior experience in the municipal water and wastewater industry and an understanding of related processes from an electrical perspective.
- Interest in consulting and client-focused project delivery.
