Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Design Engineer role located in Madison, WI. The selected candidate will design, develop, and review electrical systems, focusing on power distribution and electricity applications for water, wastewater, and municipal projects. Responsibilities include preparing design calculations, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, supporting project implementation, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines to successfully complete projects. The position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets the needs of our municipal clients.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for municipal projects.
• Prior experience in the municipal water and wastewater markets and an understanding of water and wastewater processes from an electrical standpoint.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, including electricity and power distribution systems.
• Experience in applications such as SCADA design and electrical systems used in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Wisconsin or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Proficient in project management, problem-solving, and delivering designs that align with municipal requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
