Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and innovative Food and Beverage manager to lead the Monkey Bar Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, creative food & beverage programming, and dynamic team leadership.The Monkey Bar is more then a bar, its a gathering space with amazing food and craft cocktails that create a social space for friends to gather and business to be done. As the face and energy behind Monkey Bar, you will oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring top-notch service, profitability, and a vibrant guest environment that reflects the spirit of our iconic resort. Salary $75,000.00 Yr. #towncountrysd 

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of Monkey Bar, ensuring efficient service, cleanliness, and exceptional guest engagement.
  • Drive bar profitability through cost controls, strategic pricing, and monitoring of inventory and labor.
  • Develop innovative cocktail menus, seasonal beverage promotions, and programming that resonates with locals and resort guests.
  • Hire, train, inspire, and manage a high-performance bar team focused on delivering memorable experiences.
  • Monitor and maintain liquor control systems, vendor relationships, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure all state and local alcohol service laws are followed; maintain necessary certifications.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Events, and the Director of Outlets to support bar activations, live music, and resort events.
  • Analyze sales trends and guest feedback to continuously evolve offerings and maximize revenue.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, sanitation, and compliance in all areas of the bar.
  • Represent the spirit of Monkey Bar and the Town and Country Resort with professionalism, energy, and creativity.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume, resort, or lifestyle setting.
    • Deep knowledge of mixology, spirits, wine, beer, and industry trends.
    • Strong leadership skills with a passion for team development and mentorship.
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, inventory, and cost controls.
    • Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • ServSafe and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required.

      Physical Requirements

      • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours) during shifts, including walking between bar, kitchen, and dining areas.

      • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., cases of beverages, glassware, kegs); occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

      • Bending/Stooping/Reaching: Regularly bends, stoops, kneels, and reaches overhead or below the waist to retrieve or stock supplies.

      • Manual Dexterity: Requires use of hands to handle tools, POS systems, glassware, and bar equipment.

      • Vision and Hearing: Must have good visual acuity (to read orders, receipts, and product labels) and hearing (to communicate in noisy environments).

      • Communication: Frequent talking, listening, and interpersonal interaction with team members and guests.

      • Multitasking in Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to move quickly and efficiently, often under pressure, while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
