TOWLIFT is a full service material handling dealership, family owned since 1965. We provide high-caliber maintenance and repair services for many types of equipment including a variety of forklifts, stock pickers, order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, powered walkies, pallet trucks, scissor lifts and Trackmobile railcar movers as well as Ottawa tractors.
JOB SUMMARY
A Sales Representative at Towlift is expected to be the main contact between our company and the customer. As a Dealer Sales Representative you will be expected to sell products and services Towlift represents. Your customer base will be based on an assigned geographic territory. You will work strategically with customers to provide solutions using our products and services. This is a result driven position and daily sales activities, and calls are mandatory to achieve assigned goals. All daily activity is required to be documented into a CRM system. Sales training is delivered via sales meetings, group training events and manager reviews.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Arrange appointments with customers which include pre-arranged appointments or cold calls.
- Present all proposals in person to customers.
- Work with customers to solve material handling issues within their organization.
- Work with the Towlift service department to ensure the customer has the most optimal service experience.
- Use Salesforce CRM to track daily customer interaction.
- Work closely with all company divisions to develop cross selling strategies.
- Ability to develop yearly and quarterly sales plans.
- Attend company meetings and sales training which may include overnight travel.
- An outgoing and persuasive manner and the ability to deal with people who hold differing beliefs or values.
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to accept change.
- Smart dress and a professional appearance are essential.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of outside sales experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Achieve quarterly and yearly quota.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to develop relationships with customers.
