Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on On-Site Handyman to assist with the general maintenance, upkeep, and day-to-day operations of our property in Orland, Maine.
This is a work-for-rent opportunity that includes on-site housing in exchange for an agreed-upon scope of maintenance responsibilities, along with additional wages for work performed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values a stable living arrangement, and takes pride in maintaining a property.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable handling a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform general property maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other handyman tasks within their qualifications.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, yard work, and seasonal cleanup.
- Identify and address maintenance issues as they arise.
- Assist with routine property inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized.
- Coordinate with management regarding larger repairs or projects requiring outside contractors.
Qualifications
- Previous handyman, maintenance, or general repair experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and general property maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable with physical work and outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Compensation & Housing
- On-site housing provided as part of a work-for-rent arrangement.
- Additional wages paid for maintenance and handyman work.
- Housing details, work expectations, and wage arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
