The Security Officer II leverages industry specific experience and education to support the mission of the Security Department by assisting Department leadership with key supervisory functions upon request, officer training, as well as core security functions expected of all officers.

Education Requirements

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience

• Relevant Security Experience

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in a hospital, healthcare facility, or similar high-security environment.

• Previous experience leading a security team or coordinating security operations.

• Experience in emergency response management, including crowd control and handling medical emergencies.

• Experience with incident reporting and documenting security-related incidents.

• Familiarity with safety and security protocols related to healthcare or public institutions.

• Current Valid Driver's License
• IAHSS Advanced Level Certification (CAHSO) - Must be obtained within 12 months of hire/placement
• IAHSS Supervisor Level Certification (CHSS) - Must be obtained within 18 months of hire/placement
• BLS Certification
• IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
