What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electroencephalogram Technician EEG position at Tower Health?
- Graduate of the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-Step) OR successfully complete ASET EEG 202 course or Graduation from an AMA or CAAHEP accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program.
- BLS Certification
STC EEG Technician provides support to the EEG Center for children in conjunction with the Medical Director and with the Clinical Director. Primary responsibility is to perform technically and clinically accurate EEG tests as ordered by the Physicians in the clinical Neuro-diagnostic lab, all ICU settings and patient floors. Cross-trained to work in both EEG and Sleep functions to support patient volumes. Will complete 10 Sleep and/ or EEG related CEU's annually to maintain knowledge and competencies.
