Job Summary
The Packer is responsible for safely handling, inspecting, and packaging finished aluminum products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards prior to shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished materials for defects, damage, or inconsistencies
- Package aluminum extrusions using proper materials (wrap, cardboard, strapping, etc.)
- Label products accurately according to work orders and shipping requirements
- Operate packaging equipment such as banders, stretch wrap machines, and saws
- Maintain organization of packing area and staging zones
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
- Assist with loading and preparing shipments as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to read work orders and use basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Stand, bend, and move for extended periods
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
