Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
- Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards including NEC guidelines for low and high voltage systems.
