Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects within commercial settings. This role is vital in ensuring that electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and project specifications. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities on commercial construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and schematics.
  • Lead and manage electrical crews, providing clear direction, mentorship, and supervision to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately interpret project requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other tools to plan, schedule, and track project progress.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets safety standards and project quality expectations; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling resources, and ensuring projects stay within scope.
  • Oversee safety compliance by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety meetings; utilize tools like Ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers on contract management, procurement of materials, and scheduling using Primavera or similar software.
  • Perform site inspections regularly to monitor construction site conditions, progress, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work activities through schematics review, daily reports, and logs using construction management software.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supervising electrical construction projects within commercial environments with a strong background in construction site management.
  • Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Primavera for project scheduling and management.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards along with experience conducting safety audits on-site.
  • Supervising experience leading electrical crews with excellent management skills; ability to motivate teams effectively.
  • Skilled in using testing equipment such as Ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings accurately and implement detailed work plans accordingly.
  • Knowledge of contracts management processes related to electrical projects; experience working with construction budgets is preferred.
