Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments using DSM-5 criteria and clinical documentation standards to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety.
• Facilitate intake evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing case management for clients with mental health, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems, adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical staff, and community care providers to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in research activities, data collection, and staying current with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding practices and CPT coding for billing purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges such as PTSD, addiction, or behavioral health issues.
• Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and client assessment techniques.
• Strong background in crisis intervention, crisis management, and emergency response within hospital or community settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), and electronic health record (EHR) management tools.
• Experience working with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds in outpatient or inpatient environments.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling principles, DSM-5 diagnostic evaluation procedures, and evidence-based practices for mental health counseling.
• Ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines while maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring accurate medical records.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
