Immigration Paralegal (EB-2 NIW) – Project-Based / Per CaseJob Summary

APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN IMMIGRATION LAW AND EB-2 NIW CASES.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal with direct, hands-on experience in EB-2 NIW petitions to collaborate with our legal team on a project-based, per-case basis. This role is ideal for a professional who can independently manage substantial portions of a case, from evaluation through final assembly and filing, while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and strategy.

Job Description

The selected candidate will support the full lifecycle of EB-2 NIW cases, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting, and final petition assembly. The role requires the ability to analyze a candidate’s profile, identify strengths and weaknesses, and contribute to the development of a strong and coherent case strategy in coordination with the attorney.

The paralegal will be responsible for conducting research specific to NIW standards and trends, including alignment with the Matter of Dhanasar framework, and incorporating relevant data, industry insights, and government sources where appropriate.

A core component of this role is drafting key petition documents, including personal statements, documents , and especially cover letters (attorney letters). The candidate must have proven experience preparing well-structured, persuasive cover letters that clearly present the legal argument and integrate all supporting evidence.

The role also requires experience drafting and refining proposed endeavors, ensuring consistency between the applicant’s background, the professional or business plan, and the legal theory of the case. The paralegal will coordinate the development of professional or business plans, working with internal teams or external vendors to ensure alignment with the petition strategy.

Additionally, the candidate must be experienced in preparing and completing USCIS forms, organizing exhibits, creating a clear and professional Table of Contents (TOC), and assembling complete petition packages ready for filing. This includes ensuring that all documentation is accurate, properly labeled, and fully aligned with the arguments presented.

The position also involves responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), including analyzing USCIS concerns, identifying evidentiary gaps, and assisting in drafting clear and persuasive responses supported by appropriate documentation.

The candidate will maintain organized case files, manage documentation and correspondence, and collaborate closely with attorneys and team members to ensure timely and efficient case progression.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have direct, demonstrable experience handling EB-2 NIW cases, including drafting cover letters, conducting NIW-specific legal research, drafting and refining proposed endeavors, preparing USCIS forms, creating Table of Contents (TOC), and assembling full petition packages ready for filing.

Experience in case evaluation, drafting support and recommendation letters, preparing legal arguments, coordinating professional or business plans, and responding to RFEs is required.

The candidate must possess strong legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and well-structured documents. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases independently are essential.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. A bachelor’s degree is required, and paralegal certification or legal studies background is preferred. Experience with case management systems such as Docketwise, PracticePanther, or similar platforms is a plus.

Work Structure

This is a project-based, per-case position, suitable for independent contractors or freelance professionals. Workload may vary depending on case assignments, with flexibility based on performance and availability.

Location

Weston, Florida (for coordination purposes if needed).
