Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self directed and proactive Billing Specialist to join our family friendly off site catering business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing for our clients. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial software will help streamline operations, support financial reporting, and uphold the integrity of our financial data. Attention to detail is a must.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and process invoices using QuickBooks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments, following up on overdue accounts, and reconciling discrepancies in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting activities to maintain accurate financial records
- Handle confidential information with integrity while managing billing data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries
- Support accounts payable functions by verifying vendor invoices and processing payments efficiently
- Assist with month-end closing activities including ledger review, account reconciliation, and financial data analysis.
- Collaborate with event teams to resolve billing issues promptly.
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting with ADP and Quickbooks.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills to provide clear explanations of billing processes or discrepancies to colleagues or clients.
