Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Caker (Cake Decorator & Baker) to join our back-of-house team. This role focuses on assembling, icing, and decorating high-quality cakes while maintaining our brand’s presentation standards. If you’re passionate about cake decorating and take pride in precision and creativity, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, layer, fill, crumb-coat, ice, and decorate cakes (fresh cream, buttercream, mousse, cloud cakes, etc.)
- Execute custom cake designs including smooth finishes, piping, lettering, and themed decorations
- Maintain cake display cases with fresh, visually appealing products
- Assist with baking prep, ingredient preparation, and daily production tasks
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and efficient
Qualifications
- Cake decorating or bakery experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Strong attention to detail and passion for desserts
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 lbs
- Reliable, positive, and team-oriented
- Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
