Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Manager and Cake Decorator to lead our bakery team and create beautifully decorated cakes and pastries. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and packaging of baked goods
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic designs, adhering to customer specifications and quality standards
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the bakery area
- Lead and train bakery staff in cake decorating techniques, food handling, and safety procedures
- Assist customers with product selections, special orders, and custom cake designs to enhance customer satisfaction
- Coordinate catering orders and participate in special events as needed
- Maintain a consistent workflow to meet production deadlines while upholding high standards of quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts with a strong portfolio of decorated cakes
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, handling, and sanitation practices
- Experience with food preparation, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques
- Strong skills in cake decorating, knife handling, and pastry presentation
- Background in food production within bakery or restaurant settings; catering or hospitality experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous leadership or managerial experience in a bakery or culinary setting is preferred
