Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse position located in New Orleans, LA. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, monitoring patient health conditions, administering medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and educating patients and their families about health management strategies. The Registered Nurse will follow best practices and uphold Touro's commitment to quality and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in patient care, including assessments, planning, and implementing treatment plans
- Experience in monitoring patient health, administering medications, and using medical equipment
- Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Louisiana
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
- Prior experience in an acute care or teaching hospital is advantageous
