About The Role
The Education and Family Program Manager is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven professional who is passionate about supporting families, educators, and students. In this role, you will help shape and expand national programs that serve school communities through virtual, on-demand, and in-person offerings. You will collaborate across teams, work closely with advisory boards and external partners, and play a key role in delivering resources and programs that help families and schools better understand and support Tourette Syndrome and neurodiversity.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, this role partners with the Education Advisory Board and collaborates with colleagues across Programs, Marketing, Development, and Policy. The ideal candidate brings strength in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and relationship-building—especially in school-based or family-centered settings.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Engagement and Management
- Onboard TAA Education Volunteers and maintain an outreach system that keeps volunteers engaged, informed, and prepared to work effectively with schools.
- Partner with the Director of Volunteers and Affiliate Services to establish guidelines, strengthen relationships with TAA Education Volunteers, and support additional family- and community-based volunteer opportunities.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Programs to co-facilitate the TAA Education Advisory Board in support of strategic goals and school, family, and youth program and resource initiatives.
- Plan and deliver engaging virtual and in-person programs for educators and families.
- Develop and track program evaluations and assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates on program development.
- Develop and manage program timelines to support effective planning and execution.
- Engage external stakeholders, including Education and Medical Advisory Board members and partner organizations, to support program delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of Tourette Syndrome (TS), school-based best practices, and the needs of families affected by TS.
- Develop and evaluate resources for educators and families.
- Partner with TAA advisory boards and external organizations to provide current, accurate, and research-based resources for educators and families.
- Participate in organization-wide initiatives and events.
- Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, Special Education, Public Health, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience and/or demonstrated interest in Tourette Syndrome, mental health, or neurodiversity.
- Experience working with schools, school districts, or education-based systems.
- Experience in program and resource development, evaluation and assessment, and data collection and reporting.
- Knowledge of school district structures and operations is strongly preferred.
- Experience developing programs that support mental health, neurodiversity, educators, and families.
- Knowledge of Tourette Syndrome or willingness to build subject-matter expertise.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, resource development efforts, and shifting timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, as well as platforms such as Asana and Zoom.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
