The Position
We're looking for an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join our Prairieville team.
This position supports our paralegals and attorney clients with the day-to-day management of personal injury cases. The ideal candidate understands the progression of a personal injury claim, communicates effectively, stays ahead of deadlines, and doesn't need constant direction to keep work moving.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate, organized, and up-to-date case files.
Preparing correspondence, legal documents, and routine case communications.
Communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and attorney offices.
Monitoring case progression, outstanding tasks, and important deadlines.
Coordinating with our medical records, liens, and other internal departments.
Updating case management systems and ensuring documentation is complete.
Supporting paralegals with demand preparation, settlement processing, and other case-related assignments.
Qualifications
Previous personal injury experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with legal case management software, particularly Filevine, is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple cases, competing priorities, and deadlines.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
