Drives and operates farm machinery. Attaches farm implements to tractors. Removes excess growth from apple trees and fruit plants and applies general use pesticides under the supervision of a licensed applicator. Picks apples and tree fruit. Prepares apples and fruit for sale and processing. Removes rocks, weeds, and brush from apple orchards and fields using tools. Prepares soil and plants, plant and seeds. Trains and prunes apple trees, fruit trees, and bushes. Lays out irrigation pipes and adjusts valves. Assists with frost control activities. Installs and removes bird netting on crops. Cleans, lubricates, and adjust farm machinery. Repairs and maintains irrigation equipment, farm equipment, and farm buildings. Will be required to lift 50 pounds while ascending and descending a ladder. Must be capable of receiving detailed instructions from supervisors. Will work individually or as part of a team. Two month experience required in work listed.
