Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy and outpatient clinical counseling to diverse populations across various settings. The Clinical Director (CD) is responsible for the overall management, quality, and compliance of Touchstone Support Service LLC behavioral healthcare programs. The CD ensures that services are trauma-informed, client-centered, culturally competent, and aligned with Touchstone Support Service LLC mission to empower individuals on their journey to wellness. This position provides leadership, clinical supervision, and program oversight to ensure all programs meet the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient care planning to develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement specialized interventions for children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols.
- Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management services, and community resources for optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to mental health treatment modalities or behavioral health interventions.
Education/Licensure:
- Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
- Current Maine licensure as LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent. Conditional licenses (LCPC-CC or LMSW-CC) accepted with supervision plan.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in behavioral health or mental health program management.
- Demonstrated experience with supervision, quality assurance, and compliance monitoring.
- Experience managing and overseeing clinical program performance.
- Familiarity with MaineCare, DHHS regulations, and strong behavioral healthcare practices.
Preferred:
- Experience in community-based mental health or HCBS settings.
- Experience working with culturally diverse and immigrant communities.
- Bilingual ability (English French, Somali, Kinyarwanda, Lingala, or other languages).
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy approaches.
- Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing strategies for engaging clients in treatment.
- Expertise in child & family counseling, working with children with autism or developmental disabilities, and providing special education support when needed.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and data collection; experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding is preferred.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology and understanding of mental health diagnoses.
- Experience working in hospital settings or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of PTSD care protocols, geriatrics, and psychopharmacology practices.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
