Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)
Starting Pay: $22.00 an hour
Available Schedules and Locations: Lyric Lane (Fridley); Every Friday/Saturday Overnights - 10:30pm to 8:30am
Lyric Lane (Fridley); Every Friday/Saturday/Sunday Evenings - 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Two Rivers (Minneapolis); Every Saturday & Sunday - 8:00am to 4:00pm
Two Rivers (Minneapolis); Every Saturday & Sunday - 3:00pm to 11:00pm
TMH’s Mental Health Practitioners (MHP’s) provide support to clients in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) programs.
Mental Health Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Establish supportive and motivational relationships with residents
- Coach residents to utilize coping strategies and de-escalate crises
- Administer medications to residents
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents
- Support the cleanliness of common areas
- Ensure residents follow safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other staff members and interns
Mental Health Practitioner Requirements:
- Must have one to two years of experience, education, or combination in behavioral health, social work, psychology, counseling, nursing, or related area
- Must meet definition of Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker or Mental Health Practitioner per Department of Human Services licensing requirements
