Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for providing manufacturing support for existing products and for developing and introducing new processes to improve efficiency in the manufacturing process. Be an advocate for the manufacturing and assembly teams, meaning: Ensure proper tools are available for safe and efficient work; ensure necessary work instructions are available and up to date so that the build and ability to inspect is straightforward and clear; engage in continuous improvement of work area / line set up; help define and enforce standards. 

Design and develop manufacturing procedures, tooling, and fixtures that result in sufficient capacity to meet customer demand, while also promoting product quality, process efficiency, and operator safety. Generate and modify component and assembly drawings using Solid Works. Utilize LEAN, Six Sigma, and other best practice tools and principles for day-to-day problem solving and continuous improvement. Assist in identifying equipment needs on the production floor and evaluating internal and external options for sourcing such equipment.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 

2. LEAN, Six Sigma certified 

3. 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or design environment 

4. Demonstrated ability to work in a Team Environment 

5. Computer competency/expertise as related to CAD, Business Systems, etc.  

4. Demostrated knowledge of manufacturing  processes, techniques, materials, finishes

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Knowledge of safety standards and ergonomic principles within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a team environment


Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods
  • Understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, and process flow optimization

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and production activities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
  • Ability to support production floor activities and interact directly with operators and production teams
