Responsibilities of a DSP include:
- Assisting clients with personal care such as bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing.
- Providing support in meal preparation and ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Performing housekeeping duties to ensure that group homes are clean and organized.
- Engaging and supporting clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Administering prescribed medications.
- Monitor and document client progress, behavior and any changes in physical or mental condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance individual's well-being.
Qualifications:
- Experience with caregiving preferred – but not required.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a part of a team.
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED – required
- Valid Driver's License
- Registered, LicensedInspected Vehicle
- Ability to commute to various locations within Crawford County, PA
