Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and independence.
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, behavioral health challenges, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Use medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts to provide safe and effective assistance.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
Experience
- Home Care
- Prior experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments.
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia.
- Familiarity with advanced clinical environments such as Level II Trauma Centers or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Strong caregiving background encompassing post-acute care, outpatient clinics, urgent care settings, or hospice services is highly valued.
