Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and skilled Floral Designer to join our team. As a Floral Designer, you will work closely with customers to create beautiful floral displays for various occasions, while also managing inventory and maintaining a welcoming retail environment.
Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday celebrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current floral trends and techniques to ensure innovative designs.
- Manage inventory by stocking supplies, monitoring product quality, and placing orders as needed.
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing receipts to customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations within the shop.
- Assist with landscape maintenance as needed, ensuring all outdoor displays are well-kept and visually appealing.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage pricing, discounts, and sales effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floral design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Experience in retail sales and cash handling is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of stock management practices to ensure efficient inventory control.
- A keen eye for design, color coordination, and attention to detail is essential.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends or holidays as required by business needs.
