2nd shift Quality Inspector Summary:The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for verifying all of our products – stampings, welding and assembly to the customer’s specifications. He/she is also responsible for all quality inspection per the customer requirements and must maintain audits to ensure compliance to all regulations. The hours for this position are 4:30p-3:00a, Mon-Thurs with Fri/Sat/Sun as needed. Inspectors are scheduled to come in early one day per week, usually Tuesday, for a Quality Meeting. Employees are compensated for this time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform 1st pieces buy off. Operate various test equipment and machines to verify reliability of parts as required, and maintain accurate quality records
Maintain all documentation and/or paperwork relevant to day-to-day activities
Provide required material to operators
Maintain Reliability test requirements - Verify calibration of equipment
Measure parts on gauges
Support the production and quality departments in problem solving
Responsible for quality holding cage –Crib-, which has new parts, changed parts, and prototype parts
Execute all job responsibilities, not specifically listed here, that may be determined necessary by the Quality Manager
Demonstrates through personal action, a strong commitment to disciplined adherence to process and procedures
Actively contributes to and participates in continuous improvement initiatives
Other Duties:Ability to communicate/coordinate with other departments. Familiar with measurement – micrometer- calibers- pin gauges
Ability to read and follow directions
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this position must have 6 months to 1 year of Quality Inspection experience in a similar environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
