Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages cooperation and respect.
- Support children’s overall development by applying knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's progress.
- Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance experiential learning experiences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Provide care for toddlers and preschoolers, including routines such as meal times, naps, and outdoor activities.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior management plans, and lesson documentation in compliance with childcare standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development for early childhood settings.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children across various developmental stages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience with daycare or private school environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to implement early intervention programs and support children with diverse learning needs.
