Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Aide/Daycare Aide to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist in preparing nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and children’s activity areas
- Support classroom activities by helping with age-appropriate play, learning exercises, and behavioral management
- Supervise children during meals, snack times, and indoor/outdoor play to promote safety and positive social interactions
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws for any concerns related to child welfare or safety
- Maintain accurate records of meal counts, attendance, and incident reports as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to support individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in First Aid and Pediatric First Aid is highly preferred; CPR certification is a plus
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
