Duties
- Implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool and toddler age groups, incorporating best practices in literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Follow engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Facilitate activities that support special education needs and foster inclusive classroom experiences for children with diverse abilities.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, ensuring safety, behavior management, and adherence to child welfare standards at all times.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support each child's individual growth and developmental milestones.
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and program standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math (including Montessori techniques), physical education, and special education strategies.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with diverse needs through early intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience with classroom experience including lesson planning, tutoring, and managing standardized testing procedures.
- Knowledge of toddler care practices and preschool experience to create nurturing environments that promote child welfare.
