We are seeking a Life Sciences Lab Technician for a travel assignment in St. Petersburg, Florida
The Lab Technicians is assigned to perform duties in either the QC Lab or the R&D Lab. The Lab Technician / QC is responsible for testing and inspecting raw materials and products at various stages of production to ensure that required specifications are met. The Lab Technician / R&D is responsible for assisting the Chemist/Senior Chemists in new product development, product maintenance, raw material evaluations, competitive evaluations, and general testing.
Facility: IDEXX Laboratories - Saint Petersburg Reference Lab
Assignment Type: Travel - Standard
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: 0400 to 1230
Hours per Week: 40.00
Work Style: Onsite
Responsibilities
- Formulate samples using standard formulations
- Evaluate computer readings and make necessary adjustments
- Perform a variety of tests
- Clean lab equipment and make sure there is no contamination from one lab run to another
- Monitor lab runs for quality
- Test lab samples
Qualifications
- Associates Degree, Bachelors Preferred in Biology or Chemistry
- 0-2 years of work experience in a lab
- Ablility to work in a hands on fast paced lab
- Good with taking direction and working with a team on projects
