TotalClean and Maintenance is a growing residential and commercial cleaning company serving the Metro Detroit area. We are looking for reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented cleaners to join our team.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, can follow detailed cleaning procedures, and are comfortable traveling between client homes throughout the day.

What You'll Do

As a Residential House Cleaner, you will travel to client homes and complete scheduled cleaning services either independently or alongside another team member.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas
• Dusting furniture, surfaces, fixtures, and other areas throughout the home
• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Cleaning showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and bathroom surfaces
• Cleaning countertops, stovetops, sinks, microwaves, and appliance exteriors
• Wiping exterior kitchen and bathroom cabinets
• Completing deep-cleaning tasks when scheduled
• Cleaning baseboards, interior windows, refrigerators, ovens, and cabinets when included in the service
• Following company cleaning checklists and client instructions
• Taking required before-and-after photos
• Performing a final walkthrough before leaving each property
• Reporting damages, concerns, or unusual conditions immediately
• Maintaining professional and respectful behavior in clients' homes

Requirements

You MUST have your own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license. Cleaners travel between client homes, so dependable transportation is required.

Applicants should also:

• Be reliable and punctual
• Have strong attention to detail
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Be comfortable performing physically active work for several hours
• Be able to follow instructions and company procedures
• Have a working smartphone for scheduling, communication, checklists, and photos
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Communicate promptly if an issue occurs
• Be willing to travel throughout our Metro Detroit service area

Previous residential or professional cleaning experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Training

New cleaners complete approximately 8–10 days of hands-on training, depending on experience and performance.

Training takes place in real client homes alongside an experienced cleaner. You will learn TotalClean's cleaning procedures, quality standards, checklists, photo requirements, and client-service expectations.

Quality comes first. Cleaners must demonstrate that they can consistently complete required tasks to company standards before working independently.

Pay & Scheduling

• Starting pay: $20/hour
• Drive time between scheduled jobs is paid
• 100% of tips go to cleaners
• Paid biweekly on Fridays
• Weekly work schedule provided
• Additional jobs may become available throughout the week
• Opportunities for increased hours as the company continues to grow

We are currently looking for cleaners with weekday availability, and weekend/Sunday availability is a major plus.
