Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs to recommend suitable products or services
- Process cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and cash drawer management
- Assist customers with retail sales, ensuring a positive shopping experience from start to finish
- Handle data entry tasks efficiently using retail software and perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory checks
- Support retail lending activities by explaining financial products and assisting with loan processing or collections when necessary
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including stock replenishment and product displays
- Manage cash register operations, including 10 key typing, processing cash transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
Qualifications
- Previous retail store experience: 1 year minimum and a strong customer service mindset is essential
- Must have legal identification showing age 18 years
- Basic math skills and familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing
- Experience with financial software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently using 10 key typing skills
- Excellent communication skills to assist customers effectively and handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of banking, financial services, or retail lending is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
