Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, tools, and outdoor decor.
- Provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and floral design to help customers achieve their outdoor goals.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean and well-organized to enhance shopping appeal.
- Answer customer inquiries in multiple languages if applicable, ensuring clear communication and excellent customer service.
- Assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking products, and conducting stock audits.
- Support e-commerce efforts by helping customers with online orders or product information when needed.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers and team members.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, floral design, and related outdoor activities.
- Experience with retail sales processes including cashiering, POS operation, cash handling, and retail math.
