Cell Phone Technician

We need a highly skilled, ambitious Repair Technician who is just as comfortable fixing a cracked screen or computer motherboard as they are closing a sale. The Role: Beyond the Workbench At Total Wireless, we don’t just wait for broken phones or new activations to walk through the door. You will be the face of our Metcalf location—expertly repairing devices, managing customer accounts, and selling Total Wireless products. But a massive part of this role involves being proactive. When the repair queue is empty and the store is quiet, you won't be in the back room—you will be outside, engaging the community, and bringing the business to us. Additionally, this role requires you to take your skills on the road, dispatching directly to customers to perform on-site repairs when necessary.

What You’ll Do

• Expert Device Repair: Perform diagnostics and high-quality repairs on both cell phones and computers. You will do this both in-store and by traveling directly to customers for mobile, on-site service.
• Consultative Selling & Account Management: Educate customers on our products and services, sell Total Wireless phones and plans, and seamlessly assist walk-in customers with their existing accounts.
• Active Outside Prospecting: When the store is quiet, you will be outside the storefront or in the immediate area engaging with the public, handing out materials, and convincing people to switch to Total Wireless or use our repair services.
• Drive Traffic: Perform outbound activities (calls, community engagement, sidewalk greeting) to ensure a steady stream of retail and repair customers.
• Store Excellence: Man the Metcalf location, assist with daily operations, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment while exceeding monthly sales targets.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience repairing both cell phones and computers (hardware replacement, screen repairs, software troubleshooting, etc.).
• Sales Experience: 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience (Wireless or Pre-Paid experience is a huge plus).
• The "Hustle" Mentality: Willingness and enthusiasm to talk to potential customers outside the store to drive traffic.
• Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel to customers for on-site repairs and various locations in the area as needed.
• Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
