Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean, degrease, sand, and grind equipment, as well as sandblast and apply masking to parts not being painted.
- Apply primers, base coats, and finishing coats to equipment using spray equipment.
- Move heavy parts and machinery (e.g., engines, carriages) within the shop, loading and unloading from paint booths.
- Maintain a clean workspace, properly manage hazardous materials (paint/solvents), and wear required PPE.
- Verify coating thickness, adhesion, and finish quality.
- Previous industrial painting or prep experience, preferably with heavy equipment, is usually required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain or hold a valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in awkward positions.
- Proficiency with paint sprayers, hand tools (grinders/sanders), and understanding of paint systems.
Pay Range is $22-25hr
