Parts Driver

Job Overview:

The Parts Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering truck parts to customers, including repair shops, fleet accounts, and store locations. This role ensures timely, accurate deliveries while providing professional customer service and supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery & Route Management

o Deliver truck parts to customers and store locations using company vehicles

o Properly secure goods to ensure damage-free during transit

o Assist with safe loading and unloading of goods

o Plan and follow assigned delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness

o Verify delivery contents against invoices and packing slips

o Obtain required signatures and delivery confirmations

• Customer Service & Communication

o Represent the company professionally at customer locations

o Communicate delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly

o Notify management of any accidents, parking tickets, vehicle damage, and/or major maintenance issues immediately.

o Assist customers with unloading when required

o Maintain positive relationships with customers and staff

• Vehicle and Safety Responsibilities

o Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws

o Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

o Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization

o Follow all safety, DOT, and company driving policies

• Compliance and Documentation

o Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records

o Follow company policies and procedures

o Support inventory accuracy and internal controls

• Continuing Education & Training

o Complete annual and ongoing safety and compliance training as assigned, including but not limited to driver safety, defensive driving training, forklifts, pallet jacks, fire safety, back safety, slips/trips/falls, and hazardous chemicals.

o Participate in ongoing training on company delivery procedures, customer service standards, and documentation requirements

o Attend refresher training on company policies, compliance requirements, and best practices

o Maintain familiarity with company products, delivery routes, and customer expectations

o Attend periodic training related to vehicle operation and route optimization

o Support cross-training in warehouse, receiving, and inventory procedures as needed

o Maintain required licenses and certifications and comply with all company training requirements

Qualifications:

• Required:

o Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

o Experience as delivery or parts driver preferred

o Experience with truck parts, automotive, or warehouse environments preferred

• Knowledge:

o Knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, automotive or warehouse environments preferred

o Road Safety Regulations

o Navigation systems and/or local road maps

• Skills:

o Safe driving & route efficiency

o Customer service & communication

o Attention to detail & accuracy

o Dependability, Punctuality & Professionalism

o Teamwork & flexibility

• Education:

o High School Diploma or equivalent

• Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

o Driving and warehouse environments

o Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and standing

o Ability to lift and move heavy parts, up to 50 lbs. Parts and equipment exceeding 50 lbs. should be lifted with assistance from other employees or other equipment available.

o Exposure to outside weather conditions, varied temperatures, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust.

o Exposure to forklifts, delivery vehicles and warehouse noise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
