Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and landscaping, with experience in climbing techniques and equipment operation. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for performing various tree maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and aesthetics of trees in residential and commercial settings.
Duties
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain tree health and safety.
- Operate bucket trucks for high-access tree care tasks.
- Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris from trees.
- Conduct landscape maintenance, including lawn care and general landscaping duties.
- Apply knowledge of arboriculture to assess tree conditions and recommend care practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during projects.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Document work performed and any observations related to tree health.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tree climbing, trimming, and rigging.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe branch removal.
- Experience operating bucket trucks and other related equipment.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus.
- Background in arboriculture or landscaping is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
