Job Purpose:
The Vice President of Finance provides strategic financial leadership for Rusin Concrete
Construction, overseeing all accounting and financial operations. This role ensures the financial
health and integrity of the company by directing financial planning, reporting, and compliance
activities while partnering with executive leadership to drive business performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
:• Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Financ
eDepartment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the compan
ypolicies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning
,assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews an
daddressing complaints and resolving problems
.• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cas
hdisbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetua
linventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting
.• Oversee the quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports
.Income tax reporting provided to CPA. Working with CPA to prepare Federal and Stat
eincome tax reports for shareholders
.• Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial reports
.• Responsible for preparing financial budgets and assure financial plans are consisten
twith organizational goals
.• Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company operations or special projects
,programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc
.• Interface with outside banks and lessors, insurance company(s), credit card companies
,collection agencies, CPA and attorney(s)
.• Participate in management team to help develop Vision goals
.• Best Practices – Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
.Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures t
omaximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
.• Assure all departments’ job descriptions are complete and reviewed as needed
.• Oversee IT operations and software evaluation and implementation

Qualification
s:• Degree (BS or BA) in Accounting or Finance. Ten or more years’ equivalent experienc
e.CPA preferre
d.• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principle
s.• Knowledge and experience with accounting for and reporting of job costs, costs
inexcess of billings, billings in excess of costs, revenue and cost of sales, using t
hepercent complete method of accountin
g.• Detailed knowledge and experience with payroll rules and regulations and complian
cewith all reporting requirements including the Affordable Care Ac
t.• Experienced with the installation of policies and procedures and systems to streamli
nework flow and improve timeliness of reportin
g.• Experience and capability of supervising an accounting department of a staff of four
ormore, to include periodic review
s.• Strong skills in understanding Excel, Crystal Reports and other reporting tool
s.• Experience and capability in managing the income tax planning and compliance of t
hecompany and related entities in conjunction with the outside accounting fir
m.• Must be capable of cash flow planning, capital equipment tracking and plannin
g.• Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to t
opmanagement, public groups and/or board of director
