Role Description This full-time, on-site CAD/Revit Technician role is based in Orlando, FL. The CAD/Revit Technician will produce accurate technical drawings and models using CAD and BIM tools, supporting architects and engineers on commercial, residential, and renovation projects. Daily responsibilities include developing and updating construction documents, maintaining CAD and Revit standards, coordinating drawing sets, and ensuring consistency across project files. The role involves collaborating with project teams to interpret design intent, incorporating redlines and revisions, and assisting in the organization of digital project documentation. The technician will also help improve drafting workflows and contribute to quality control of drawings and models.
Qualifications
- Strong technical drawing skills, including precise drafting and interpretation of architectural and structural details.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and adherence to CAD standards for consistent documentation.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows, including Revit or similar platforms, for coordinated project models.
- Ability to produce clear drawings and construction documents that align with project requirements and industry codes.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience in commercial or residential design environments is preferred; familiarity with remodels and production builder services is a plus.
