Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receptionist to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental and medical terminology, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that our office runs smoothly while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front office operations, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Oversee billing and insurance claims, including Medicare and other health plans, to ensure accurate processing and collections.
  • Maintain patient files in compliance with privacy regulations and office policies.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure that all necessary supplies are available and equipment is properly maintained.
  • Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
  • Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Train and supervise administrative staff to ensure high standards of performance.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and industry best practices to facilitate effective communication within the team.

Experience

  • Must have experience working at a dental office/clinic.
  • Proven experience in medical office management or a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicare processes and hospital environments is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computerized systems for managing patient records and scheduling (experience with dental software is a plus).
  • Strong skills in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
