Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials
- Manage inventory control through accurate tracking using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 platforms
- Assist with stock stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain precise stock levels and prevent discrepancies
- Support warehouse distribution activities by load & unload operations while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Handle materials with mechanical knowledge for packaging and materials handling tasks in manufacturing or construction environments
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse management processes and improve overall workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Valid certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or order pickers
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse environments
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate pallet jacks, heavy lifting equipment, and other mechanical tools safely
- Experience in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock management within a manufacturing or distribution setting
- Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in RF scanners, AS400 systems, or similar inventory control tools
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus
