Warehouse Clerk

Total Site Solutions (TSS), Georgetown, TX., seeks a results-driven Warehouse Clerk. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Warehouse Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the efficient functioning of our warehouse. These tasks include receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming IT equipment and materials, as well as accurately processing and fulfilling outgoing orders. The role also involves maintaining inventory records and ensuring proper organization within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely.
• Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages to maintain accurate information.
• Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location.
• Pull stock from warehouse locations to support production.
• Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and clients, and ensure that all external parties receive a positive interaction with the company.
• Verify the accuracy of all incoming shipments by comparing the invoice to the order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition.
• Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges.
• Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards.
• Work with other warehouse personnel to see that all invoices are handled promptly and goods are shipped and stored correctly.

Qualifications 

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds, as many packages are large.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and work primarily standing.
• Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs.
• Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
• Experience using a forklift or professional forklift certification is strongly preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
• Willing to work flexible shift schedules as needed.
• Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a warehouse clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory.
• Relevant customer service experience is a plus as warehouse clerks interact with customers to replace lost or damaged goods.

Distinctions- Level One

• Beginning learning one or more of the shipping, receiving, or warehousing functions
• Up to complete mastery of one of the three functions

Distinctions- Level Two

• Exceptional knowledge of two shipping, receiving, or warehousing functions, with minimal guidance needed.
• Or, complete mastery of one function, needing no guidance in it. 
• Able to train others on functions. 

Distinctions- Level Three

• Full mastery of all three functions
• Able to train in all three functions. 
• It needs no direction to execute any function.
