What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Coordinator position at Total Seed Production Inc?
We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill our role of Distribution Coordinator. The position handles all shipments of product coming in, going out, as well as all commercial delivery vehicles. The Distribution Coordinator acts as the hub between warehouse and distribution by handling paperwork and coordinating shipments. This position will maintain constant communication between the management team, team members and top management.
Requirements for the position are: Previous skills/experience in a warehouse/ distribution environment. Excellent communication and attention to detail with the ability to solve problems efficiently. Strong computer and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Associate’s degree with 2 years of work-related experience or a high school diploma with at least 5 years of work-related experience, or equivalent.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintain shipping/receiving/trucking schedule
- Prepare paperwork for shipments
- Handles non-conforming product appropriately
- Initiates corrective/preventative actions to improve our QMS
- Receives customer shipping requests and communicates with warehouse
- Always makes customers 1st priority
- Answers phone promptly and directs all incoming calls as needed.
- Maintain documents in an appropriate manner
- Maintains good communication with management, asking questions when necessary, realizing the importance of doing every job correctly.
- Always keeps a positive mental attitude towards work and fellow employees.
