Duties
- Operate boom trucks, cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other lifting equipment with skill and safety awareness
- Coordinate with crane operators and ground crew to execute lifts accurately and efficiently
- Secure loads using appropriate rigging methods and safety equipment to prevent accidents or load shifts
- Follow load handling procedures in crane operations according to OSHA safety standards and construction site regulations
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning of hydraulics, safety devices, and load securing rigging
- Assist with materials handling tasks including shipping & receiving, warehouse organization, and site logistics
- Maintain detailed logs of lift activities, safety checks, and equipment maintenance records
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as cranes (including overhead cranes), boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, and backhoes
- Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, load handling procedures in crane operations, and materials handling techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving within construction environments
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards and safety protocol adherence
- Ability to perform rigging using load securing rigging methods safely and effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse processes including shipping & receiving procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of heavy equipment operation in construction or industrial settings
