Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Responsibilities

• Partner with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver individualized outpatient treatment plans.

• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and recovery techniques.

• Track and document progress in the electronic health record (EHR), reporting updates to the supervising PT.

• Teach patients and families home exercise programs and injury-prevention strategies.

• Create a positive, motivating environment that supports patient success.

• Assist with clinic organization and equipment readiness.

PTA Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current state PTA licensure or certification (Texas or compact-eligible).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous outpatient rehab or physical therapy clinic experience.

• Familiarity with electronic medical/health record (EHR/EMR) systems.

• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish preferred).

• Additional therapy-related certifications.
