Automotive Estimator

Position Summary: The Automotive Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for vehicle repairs. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, determining necessary repairs, and calculating labor and material costs in collaboration with technicians and other team members. The estimator ensures all estimates are documented with precision, maintaining a high standard of organization and accuracy throughout the repair process. Additionally, this position supports overall workflow coordination, helping to maintain efficiency, quality assurance, and exceptional customer satisfaction within the repair facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):

• Work closely with technicians to assess vehicle damage and determine repair needs
• Review damage reports, prepare cost and labor estimates, and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in all estimates
• Support the team with workflow coordination and quality assurance

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience writing estimates for an auto body shop or insurance company (required)
• CCC estimating software experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and parts
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Write accurate and detailed estimates for vehicle repairs

Work Environment:

Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.

• Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.

FLSA Status: Full-time; Hourly; Non-exempt

Salary: $21.00 - $24.00/hour
